Have you ever had homemade applesauce? It’s so good! I never knew how simple it is to make. Well, this recipe is actually one that I can not claim as my own. I am very proud to say that this Slow Cooked Apple Sauce recipe was given to me by my son Joshua. When he was in Kindergarten last year his teacher made Slow Cooked Apple Sauce with the class. They each had a turn mixing the ingredients and mashing the apples. Josh came home so excited to give me “his recipe”. That weekend we tried it at home. This apple sauce recipe only takes a few ingredients and very little effort but it is one of the best tasting apple sauces I have ever had in my life. It was sweet but not too sweet and had the slightest taste of cinnamon that brought it all together. Best of all I was able to make it with my little best friend!
Who new that crispy tempura shrimp was so easy to make! Don’t they look amazing? Crunchy, flavorful, and best of all fresh out of your own kitchen. No more waiting for the delivery guy and no more wondering if the food will come out good that day. Maybe it’s just me but I have tried out several Chinese food places around and have yet to find one that serves consistent good quality food every single time. Some days it’s great others not so much. Now I don’t have to worry anymore and neither do you. This tempura dish is ridiculously easy to make and takes no time at all. You can even substitute the shrimp for another meat or vegetable of your choice! The secret is the tempura batter. Once you have that made you can tempura just about anything. Another amazing and super simple recipe that I’ve added to this post is the sweet and sour sauce usually served with a tempura dish. You won’t even believe how easy it is! I’ll be honest when I first read the ingredients I was pretty skeptical. But 5 minutes later the sauce was made and tasted exactly like the restaurant!
I love this basil pesto sauce! It’s easy to make and loaded with flavor. Add all your ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth. It also freezes really well. I suggest making a big batch and then storing your pesto into little plastic containers. Put them in the freezer for later use. Pesto sauce is great over pasta, chicken and even pizza! See my recipe for Rustic Pesto Pizza. This impressively simple recipe will knock your socks off!
This is one for the books. This recipe is so simple and delicious you’ll want to put it on everything!
One Saturday morning Dave and I were making breakfast. I woke up with the biggest craving for a breakfast burrito. Denny’s used to serve this amazing scrambled eggs and avocado burrito but unfortunately they took it off the menu so I had to create my own.
To all my meat lovers out there this sauce recipe is for you! It is nothing short of amazing. Add it to your favorite pasta, lasagna, over chicken, or just grab a piece of Italian bread and go to town. It’s that good! This sauce, just like the marinara sauce, can be made ahead of time and stored in the freezer for later use.
Now I know this recipe requires a few more ingredients than the marinara sauce but trust me it is definitely worth it. Just take out everything you will need before hand and place them out on the countertop in order. The ingredients were written in the same order you will use them to make it easier to follow so take your time and I know you will do great! After the first time you’ll be a pro and everyone will be asking for your amazing recipe.
